Summer Soirée

This year’s Summer Soirée took place on 30th July at Wallasey Village Library & Community Centre. The beautiful venue provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration, made all the more inspiring by the fact that the library itself is entirely volunteer-run and a wonderful example of a community coming together to make a difference.

BAKED Cafe who are based inside the library provided the delicious food which went down a treat!

Our annual Inspired Reading Summer Soirée is a special celebration to thank our dedicated Reading Mentor volunteers who generously give their time each week to support our local primary school children with their reading journey.

This year, we were thrilled to celebrate a special milestone as three of our wonderful Reading Mentors marked five years of volunteering with us. Special congratulations to Maria, Alison and Judi and a heartfelt thank you to all three for their dedication and the difference they continue to make in children’s lives.

As Stuart Brady, Headteacher at Bidston Avenue Primary School, perfectly summed up:

“You’re changing lives — one page at a time.”

To all our amazing volunteers: thank you so much for your unwavering commitment and the difference you make every day – your impact is truly inspiring 💚💚
