Inspired Reading Programme

* Volunteer Opportunity *

Following on from the COVID lock-downs of 2020, we’ve been supporting a small number of local Wirral Primary schools with a fully funded Reading & Mentoring programme called ‘Inspired Reading’.

Sadly, lots of our local school children lost much of their reading/communication skills and confidence during the first lock-down and so we set the programme up in the hope we could help somehow!

We support children in Years 2 and 3 (age 6, 7, 8) with each of our fabulous reading mentors visiting their assigned school once a week for approx. 2 hours – during which time they work with a group of 3 children, listening to them read, chatting with them about school/progress, working on their confidence/self esteem and inspiring them about their futures!

We are now in our third year and are looking for some more reading mentors to join us on programme.

If you would like more info about becoming a volunteer, we would love to hear from you.

Please give us a call or drop us an email:
