Going for Gold 🏅

We were absolutely thrilled to catch up recently with the incredible Patience Wood – an inspirational young lady who is taking the world of archery by storm. Born and raised right here in Wirral, P found her talent and love of archery aged 9 at a local Club Scout Camp, and has since gone on to become Under 18 Outdoor Champion, ranked 3rd in the European rankings (Under 21) and has recently returned from Croatia where she came away with Gold at the European Indoor Championships as part of the Senior GB Women’s Team.

As if she wasn’t busy enough with training and competing at world level, alongside her studies in Sixth Form College, P also volunteers as an Ambassador for Archery GB, helping to inspire her local community and offer opportunities into the world of archery from grassroots. What a star and what an incredible role model for our local youngsters!

We are delighted to share that P will also be joining our W.O.W Ambassador network here at the Foundation, helping us to raise aspirations and inspire our local little ones. We feel so lucky to have her onboard and can’t wait to take her into some of our local primary schools.
